Andrea A.J. Witt is a partner at Spano Dawicki & Witt, LLC, and a Board-Certified Elder Law Attorney with a long-standing commitment to serving individuals, families, and vulnerable populations. Born and raised in Winchester, Andrea continues to reside in the community with her family.
Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Boston College in 1998 and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2001. During law school, she served as Chief Managing Editor of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review.
After taking time away from practice to raise her two children, Andrea returned to the legal profession with a focused dedication to elder law, probate, and trust administration. She joined Spano Dawicki & Witt in 2012 and has since become a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex legal and personal matters. Her practice concentrates on estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, special needs planning, and MassHealth eligibility and benefits.
Andrea is one of only 29 Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELAs) in Massachusetts and among approximately 500 nationwide, a distinction awarded by the National Elder Law Foundation. She also serves on the Foundation’s grading committee, assisting in the evaluation of attorneys seeking elder law certification.
In addition to her legal practice, Andrea is committed to education and professional development. She serves as an adjunct professor at Western New England University School of Law, where she teaches Special Needs Planning. She regularly presents to the Middlesex Community College Nursing Program on estate planning documents and guardianship and conservatorship processes and is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences. Andrea also volunteers her time with local councils on aging, providing education and guidance to older adults and their families.
Outside of her professional work, Andrea values time spent with her extended family and looks forward to traveling to Italy this summer.
